CANDLE CARE AND SAFETY

Our candles reflect our commitment to fine craftsmanship. The highest of quality fragrance oils are blended with a soy wax blend to create a luxuriously rich scent. We recommend the following usage tips to enhance longevity and safety with burning our candles.

BURN TIME

The first time you burn your candle, allow it to burn for about 3 hours, or until the entire is fully melted. This will help the candle burn more evenly and avoid "tunneling".

For best results, burn for periods between 2 to 3 hours.

Do not burn for longer than 4 hours at a time.

WICK TRIMMING

Before lighting your candle each time, trim the wick to a 1/4" length. Trimming the wick before each use is very important as it ensures your flame does not get too big or tall which can be a hazard. Trimming the wick allows your candle to burn more cleanly, efficiently and safely. Straighten the wick if necessary.

Once the candle has cooled, remove any wick trimmings, matches and debris which may have fallen into the wax to avoid them from catching fire.

"MUSHROOMS"

Carbon "mushrooms" are often signs of a highly fragranced candle and/or a candle that has been burning too long. If mushrooms develop on the end of your wick, extinguish the candle and trim the wick when cool. Remove any debris which may have fallen into the wax to avoid it from catching fire.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY

Always burn candle within sight and never leave the candle unattended. Keep candle out of reach of children and pets. Never burn a candle near or on anything that can catch fire, such as fabric or curtains. Avoid drafts, vents or air current. Container may become very hot. Always place on stable, heat resistant surface while in use. Never touch or move a burning candle. Make sure the candle is completely out and the wick ember is no longer glowing before leaving the room. Don’t touch or move the candle until it has completely cooled.
