Noz Nozawa x Studio Stockhome: Daruma Candle

When interior designer Noz Nozawa reached out to us with the idea of creating a candle inspired by her collection of Japanese Daruma, we were instantly intrigued. Daruma are rich with symbolism, representing resilience, intention, and the journey toward one’s goals.

Together, we developed a two-sided Daruma candle, each side capturing a different expression. The result is both playful and meaningful, rooted in ritual and designed to evolve as it burns. We paired the form with Vetyver, Noz’s favorite scent in our collection, a grounding blend of vetiver, smoke, and green wood that deepens the connection to intention and place.

Noz Nozawa is the founder and principal of Noz Design, a San Francisco-based interior design studio known for its richly layered, emotionally resonant spaces. Her work has been featured in Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, Luxe, and more. In 2023, she was named to the prestigious AD100 list.

We loved bringing this vision to life—merging scent, form, and storytelling in a way that feels uniquely Noz.
